I am currently writing my Bachelor thesis about Orbital-Free Density Functional Theory (OF-DFT). In particular, I’m trying to combine direct ground state prediction with a putter model that is good in the vicinity of the ground state to achieve better accuracy in less time. The thesis will be written in Typst.
With a previous Bachelor in Computer Science at DHBW/SAP, I’m happy to have found the SciAI group, where I can combine my interests in computers, machine learning, math and physics. Visualizations are very important to me and I’d argue that with enough diligence, one can provide pleasing analogies in $\mathbb{R}^2$ or $\mathbb{R}^3$ for any dimension and any topic. Usually, when the yearly Summer of Math Exposition by 3Blue1Brown arrives, I find the motivation to work on my explanation/animation skills in the form of a new video on my science-related YouTube channel Splience.
Outside the SciAI group, I am working as a full-stack developer at MaMpf, trying to make students’ life easier. I also blog about Ruby on Rails and other topics on my Homepage.
In my free time, I play the piano and the viola. From time to time, I publish new songs on my music-related YouTube channel Splines. When I can pull myself away from my monitor, I love to go bouldering with friends and to explore nature during hikes.
